Matisse and Koji

Matisse and Koji is a slice-of-life meets save-the-galaxy series for 10 to 14 year olds. It is inspired by the real life journey of creator Goldy’s wife, Matisse, and her battle with generalized anxiety disorder. This epic, genre-bending, space saga explores tackling inner demons through an optimistic, coming-of-age adventure.

Synopsis

Sixteen year old engineering whiz MATISSE and her telekinetic boston terrier and best bud KOJI, have just levelled up! They’ve finally reached Class B on StarTasker; the galaxy-wide job platform where anyone with a problem can outsource a solution. While they’re ready to prove themselves as an unstoppable force, the duo are hunted by a mysterious meteor that keeps them on the run, threatening to destroy them and the rest of the galaxy.

As they dart across the cosmos in their annoyingly insightful A.I. spaceship, SHIP,  Matisse and Koji climb the ranks of the galactic StarTasker leaderboard. But they quickly find themselves entangled in the chaotic culture of “Tasking”. They constantly knock heads with other freelancers as well as THE GUILD, a wealthy and powerful syndicate of StarTaskers run by a mysterious GUILDMASTER. At the same time (and for the first time) they make new friends; TINA, a ten year old StarTasker wannabe, FROGGY, a metamorph swindler, and KAIBERIOUS SUPANOVA a charmingly hopeless egomaniac Guild defector.  Together, the bunch of misfits form a crew to take on high stakes missions that will eventually catapult them to celebrity status across the universe
